This is really silly.. I am supposed to be starting on Tuesday in Tonbridge. So i rang them last week as they hadn't emailed me. They said I would get an email at the lastest by tuesday but probably monday this week. No email (unsurprisingly) so I rang back on Tuesday. I was given incorrect information supposedly and the day I would 100 %, definitely, certainly receive and email on was actually Thursday (today). No email thus far. I will now sit on the phone for a few hours this evening most probably to be told I will be emailed tomorrow. Or the day after. Or just not at all.

I start in Bradford, Last year we didn't have to wear steel toe caps....

I got a call today asking me some stuff so that they could process my security checks, i had my interview last week thursday for Mile End, at the end of the call he said that i would get my start date in 2 DAYS, it seems like angard have different polices for different parts of the country.

I phoned the Xmas team today and apparently the said that they are still in the process of security checks and that I am to be patient and they also said that my post for the royal mail is not guaranteed, despite my security checks passed, and attending the registration event.

I phoned them at an earlier time and they said that they'll be sending out contracts and that 9 times out of 10 I will get my job. None of this makes sense.

Can some one give me a straight answer and tell me what the heck is going on?! Do I have to worry about my job for the Royal Mail?! I am so confused

there a joke i was told monday i would start next monday, now i mite not have the job they say nobody is talking to each other they just lie to you to get you off the phone absolute joke!!!!

I rang a week ago and they pretty much said, you got the job, email on the way confirming it, you start on Monday the 28th. Having still not received an email I rung again today and was pretty much told you may or may not have it, they're really behind on sending them out and if you don't receive an email today or tomorrow, don't turn up on the Monday, joy.

I'm due to Start at York on 28th and mines still showing "Processing security checks", Maybe i'll just take a chance and turn up. I did try ringing up with no joy.

Was told on MondaY that the contracts for Springburn would go out on Thurs, nothing, called on Thursday evening and promised a call back. Friday morning finally got a text - starting on Monday 28th, a week earlier than my provisional date and full-time rather than the twilight. Good luck everyone, don't give up.

I got an email and text today with my start date (the 30th) which is a day after my provisional which i don't mind. What i do mind is that my provisional was 3pm - 10pm. I have been offered the graveyard slot of 10pm - 6am. Can someone tell me if its Mon-Fri or Mon-Sat? - I really won't be able to do 6 nights a week and I don't want to lose Saturday night either. Grrr these people have really annoyed me with this whole process. Have they got anything right?

Night shifts for me last year in Belfast was 11pm - 7am. Sunday to Friday 6 nights a week.

You do not come in for night shifts on a Saturday night.

The only nights you come in for night shifts is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

When work ends at 6am or 7am in the the morning your day will end on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
