Dropping off account PPI at the Post Office problem..

Post by shipmaster122 »

We have been using PPI to pay for our postage for a few days now and have been having 7 bags on some days due to sorting and an international item. Thing is, royal mail have told us to bag the recorded and other trackable items separately but leave the bag open to be sealed after the scanning has been done. Anyway, the PO seems to think that they have to put our recorded items in with their mail. That only happened on the first day - we now give them the open bag and a filled out ppi tag so they seal the bag for us. My worry is that quite a few recorded items went in with the PO mail that day - will that delay things or cause any problems? A 1st recorded item sent on friday didnt arrive on saturday and we would usually get next day delivery with 1st items. Please let me know. Sorry for the loss of paragraphs, im on my mobile.

No it should not delay it at all, once the items have been processed by collections staff and PPI (if not done automatically), they will all be treated the same. The only time there would be a difference is if the PO held up their own bag for some reason, but that is highly unlikely and improbable.
