Ultimately IA my be the only tool left to use, what members need is for the CWU top team to recognise when talking and negotiation has got as far as its going to in achieving anything and IA is the only tool left at our disposal if the mbrs so wish to use it.

I'm as f****d off as anyone else, but what would be the basis of a strike, because the company is skint?
There aint gonna be no strike.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

On the other hand in the real world of hard nosed commerce ,if you were a creditor you would be chasing RM through the courts for 70p in the pound, skint or not ,liquidated and seize :chuckle

Exactly yet many mbrs huff and puff and expect Dave and co to wave the magic wand and RMG will pay up.

I think they expect a fight at least...
Or at least what looks like a fight....
What's the alternative?...just accept them screwing us,shrug our shoulders and wait for the next time we get f****d over?
No-one with any sense would walk out over colleagueshares alone...or any lump sum.
You are just chasing money by throwing away money from day one.
Not everyone is even due any...what would they strike for?

...but there are many outstanding issues with RM...the shares are just one of them.
If RM want a resolution to those issues they should be made to cough up...if the don't..they don't. :whistle
I would expect the colleagueshare money to pop up somewhere in BT2012-15 the sequel.
A different name,a different set of hoops to jump through...but the same money. :cuppa
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

courier today says the value in march 2012 (final valuation) will probably end up being worth nothing. So a 6 month prediction that this christmas is going to be a winner for Royal Mail then? A great thank you for all our years of hard work, enjoy the bonus Moya :evil/mad

Well now that the due date for colleague share payment has gone, and despite continuing traffic" decline", and just as pure coincidence that we come on to the private acquisition platter; a little bird tells me that RM are performing remarkably well ,and will produce a very healthy and tempting set of figures :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

So skint that each manager received thousands in bonuses, Moya not long ago received more than the prime minister in target related bonuses, millions spent on uniform shipped from China etc... If we are 'shareholders' why have we no 'board meetings' for the directors to explain the sudden 2000% drop in value....

Find it hard to believe people are still going on about this s**t, it's a dead duck - you ain't seeing anything, get over it.

Anyway, on a lighter note, there will be no strike, even if the CWU went for a vote they know they let us down and a significant number of people (who didn't leave after the farce) will vote no, because let's face it, there's no confidence in the union top brass to fight a good fight..
