"delivered" item not received

Post by popflop »

I recently bought an item of overclockers.co.uk shortly after I received the consignment number and checked it via the royal-mail track&trace service it said the item would arrive Saturday(it was a signed special delivery). Today(Saturday) I woke up and the postman arrived around his usual time 10.00am and he delivered the usual mail i would get but there was no sign of the parcel. After 10-20 minutes I checked the track&trace receive and seen that the item was delivered and signed at 10:46am. I have no idea who's signature it is as I cant recognize it.

This has never happened to me before and i have no idea on what i should do next. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks.

It turns out the item got delivered but I wasn't home therefore royal mail sent the item back to the company.. but why didnt i receive one of those slips where i can collect my item from the post office? Also what about the signature and royal-mails track&trace service?

That means they haven't bothered to send it, we don't send things back that quickly nor would we sign for something just to return it, take it further with Overclockers and see what they say.

Well they most likely sent it out already as their customer service closes at 5:30 on a Saturday therefore I cant do anything about it till monday. But if they haven't bothered sending it at the first place why did I receive and consignment number and who signed for it? Unless it was someone else's..

overclockers.co.uk are a bunch of cowboys. Don't ever order from them. In the past they've sent me a broken (returned by someone else) motherboard and tried to pass it off as a new one, I've gotten defective ram from them before as well. Then trying to get the item exchanged or refunded..... I sent the motherboard back out my own pocket only for them to hold it for week then send it back to me again saying it was fine, I had to get another retailer/supplier to test it and sign it off as broken and return it a second time with a cover letter stating exactly what was wrong with it before I got a refund. I never got the postage costs refunded so I just cut my losses and refuse to use them ever again.

None of that explains why it showed up on the T&T site or why it showed as delivered...when it plainly wasn't...and who's sig showed up.
The only reason we would send a special straight back is if the address was bogus and even that doesn't fit with the story. :confused

If they are a bit tricky its entirely possible that they gave them someone else's T&T number - it would get the "off their back" for a couple of days at least. Its a trick I have seen call centres do in one of many jobs giving out false details and hoping that the order gets sent/turns up.

Think it will have to be as TBT said. No other explanation. If it had been returned it would never have shown a signature or stated that it had been delivered. Sounds like you've got someone else's T&T number
