Hi all, i was dismissed back in 2008 after 8yrs for triggering a stage 3 through my attendance after suffering from depression when my relationship had a breakdown. i was already on a stage 2 though, following minor illnesses. Does anyone know if you can apply for a new job with royal mail, before i feel an arse if i was to get an interview, only for them to say we cant process your application any further.

I think you could apply - but I think the chances of you getting set on would be slim.

It has been known, if your previous manager will vouch for your work when you were there. Then again he probably has no human kindness running through his veins!!! Also you would probably only get a part time contract, and do you really want to go back to company that is basically dying on its arse?

my line manager was a complete twat! couldn't even get time off for a funeral. think i will give it a complete miss. forgotten how bad it was and heard its getting worse. only the rurals have it cushy!!!! thanks to everyone for replying but until you leave you will never know how bad it really was.
