I sent my passport by Special Delivery 9am to an address in central London (EC1V) on Friday to arrive on Monday. It is very important to me that it arrived before 9am or at least that it arrives as soon as possible. It's very urgent.
At first the Track and Trace function said the package was out for delivery but since about 9am, it's just telling me that: "Information on your item is not yet available online." What does this status normally mean? Has it been delivered yet or not? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Special Delivery Track and Trace
The problem with sending stuff by pre 9am priority is that the business its been sent to is probably closed. The item has probably been returned to the Delivery Office until the item is collected in person or a redelivery is requested.
Keep checking on the status throughout the day.

Ah, thanks for that. The thing is though that I know the place is open from 8.30 am and at that time the status was still telling me that it was out for delivery. On that basis, it should have been open when the postie turned up. We'll see, I guess.

before 9am SDs can be delivered from 7am
by 8.30 you would expect a van to be coming back to get its next load of deliveries/mail sorted
9ams are fine for residential or a business thats open from 7am
anything else and its often a waste of money
