Recorded items should be sent back after 1 week but some offices are so short staffed that those things aren't being done because everybody has to go out on delivery.

Its only a week - didnt realise that. Thought it might be a fortnight to allow for holidays etc. Before I moved I know the staff at my former callers office were always moaning they had to go out on delivery leaving only one person to deal with the likes of me collecting mail. I'm pro Royal Mail - I've given space for drop bags at my old office and even the odd cup of soup in the really cold weather - but at the end of the day I can't understand some of the decisions made by people who have never walked a walk in their lives.
