Royal Mail withdraws backing for Print Sells

:confused

Print Sells, the pan-European campaign to promote print, has been dealt a blow in the UK by Royal Mail’s withdrawal of support.

As a result, the four mailings to promote direct mail, magazines, in-store promotions and corporate communications that were planned for October, November and December have all been dropped.

Instead, Cepifine will insert four brochures into B2B magazines Marketing Week and PrintWeek’s sister title Marketing. The inserts will now reach 85,000 UK recipients, lower than the 107,000 initially targeted.

re: An interesting one to ask Marketing about

Post by F0zziebear »

There have been other instannces where RM's Marketing dept. and vairous printing assoications have fallen out.

Best thing is to ask Alex Batchelor what is going on.

With a number of the associations recommending their members go with the competition it is plausible for them to remove support

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
