Yodel and City-Link subbie goes bust

A subcontractor for parcel giants Yodel and City Link, has gone bust leaving no available assets.

Sheffield courier Mission Haulage & Distribution entered liquidation on 6 July, with the appointment of Gareth Rusling and John Russell of the P&A Partnership to wind down the business.

The firm had been working as sucontractor for both City Link and Yodel, as well as running a number of vans and 7.5t trucks for its own contracts. High fuel costs and pressure from creditors led to the demise of the company, Roadtransport.com understands.

Secured and non-preferential creditors are owed a total of £117,576, however Mission Haulage had no funds available to pay any debts. One of the biggest creditors is HM Revenue & Customs, which has been left £67,732 out of pocket.
