No delivery and no card

Post by mk0 »

Dear all

I ordered few items online that was to be delivered with royal mail, I was given tracking number. And all this morning the message displayed on tracking page "it left our office and on its way" or something similar, now it says couldn't be delivered at 11:24 and 'a something for you card' should be there...

I'm really annoyed and frustrated now. I don't have time to do much weekdays (due to near morning to night work hours), weekend is my only time to be home to collect deliveries so I used the expensive 'special sat', I woke up at 7am not to miss it... was home all day, didn't go to bank today though I needed to.. yet the page says was there 11:24

I was waiting for my exam material and this will complicate many things for me now :mad

What options do I have now? I'm really stressed over this especially since I was planning to use this weekend for reviewing.

Thanks for reading and replies

If you don't have a card, I can only think of one obvious reason.
Do you live in flats where the postman/driver would have difficulty gaining access?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's on main road with very good parking spaces, and I got Saturday deliveries before Asda and parcel force. Only first time something with royal mail. The tracking page says a card was delivered but there's no card...

Some areas are having problems delivering parcels/packets because of staff shortages but this doesn't look like that has happened this time.

Have you checked the inside of your letterbox just incase the card has got stuck between the inside and outside of the flaps or the worse case it's been misdelivered and someone else has your card, try phoning the DO and asking them if they have it sitting there.

Tried phoning them earlier, but as it's past 1pm the offices are closed. I would have even phoned earlier but the tracking page was displaying 'on its way' message, and by 1pm page message changed and offices closed... Not much time to enquire if something goes wrong on saturday

Thanks for responses, I'm aware it's best help can be offered and I appreciate it.

I'm thinking of having late half day off on Monday. Would I be able to pick it up if went to the local delivery office? Do I have other options?

Well i would go to the callers office on your half day. Ensure you take a couple of pieces of identification with you, something showing your home address and some photo ID. Maybe drivers licence / passport / utility bill . When they ask for the delivery card i'd tell them the dog has eaten it
They won't refuse to give you the item if all your identification matches up with you and your address.
