Hi
I wonder if any of you can help me. I paid postage for an ebay sale through paypal, packed it and took it to the PO. I was issued with a receipt but gave it no thought as, previously, the tracking number has automatically linked to the item when It's been posted. This one didn't, the parcel has gone missing and I can't find the receipt.
Is there anything I can do? The PO say they can't help and RM Cust Servs say I need the tracking number.

Sorry, but the tracking number is on the receipt, maybe they will remember you in post office and MAY be able to look it up if you know the date and time that you sent it. Not sure if they can do this but it might be worth a try :)

sounds like they have put it through as a normal parcel .The receipt should show the amount would be alot for a normal parcel i.e. the extra charge for an SD.

Did you email the buyer the tracking number (whenever I've ever bought something off of ebay and gotten it sent as a special I always ask the seller for the SD tracking number)? What colour was the barcode sticker the PO branch put on the item?

If the parcel was processed over the counter of a Post Office it would be in the system and have a tracking number attached and you would have a recipt with the said number on.
There is no provision to enter tracking numbers which have not been generated by our system.
If it is a case of postage being bought through a 3rd party then all we do is stamp your ebay postage certificate.
