Hi, I have been a postwoman for 22years, Its a long story but I've now been put forward for early medical retirement after 6months on the sick(which is ok with me as they wouldn't give me VCR!). I'm not sure of the procedure, do they just make you one financial offer that you have to accept or can you hold out for a better offer?
I never thought I'd ever be in this position as I had planned on been there for another 20years!!

It depends on your illness. If you will be able to work again in another job, then you will get the lump sum payment, which is 34 weeks wages, 9 weeks pay in lieu of notice, and any holidays you had accrued, not sure if there's any extra due to time served.
If you are unable to return to any job then u should get your pension too

I think it's a minimum of 43 weeks and a maximum of 52 weeks.
Check the IHR documents I am sure they are in the downloads section - all depends on wheather you want to stay or go
