Woking postal delivery failure

Post by peeewit »

I am only get post every other day.
Important First Class post is not being received in time.
What is the point of the First Class stamp ?
I asked my postman today, what is the problem.

He said that there was a new system in Woking where two people had three delivery routes per day. In practice these routes were so big that they could not complete more than two in a day. I spoke to him at 12:45 and he said that they were only just starting their second route of the day and they had to finish by 2pm. It seems unlikely that they would even complete the second route.

I have contacted my local MP to ask for help is resolving this problem.

Are the local sorting office addressing this problem ?
Do they even care ?

It will just be "teething problems".

The introduction of new ways of working - the so called Park and Loop and the introduction of trolleys has proved to be a disaster wherever it has been introduced.
While the basic premise is sound enough, the insistence on achieving savings where none truly exist has meant the introduction has been bad for the posties and the general public.
Still, on the bright side Moya still got a £142 000 bonus. She probably didn't get it through the post though.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
