It might be worth raising a claim on Ebay as well. Just as their are dishonest buyers on there, undoubtedly there are also dishonest sellers.

Good luck.

BTW I am hoping B4W left a "h" out of the word though :Very Happy
 Yes, it is so easy to go into the P.O and pick up a bundle of S/D recorded bags or stickers. This is not supposed to happen but it does--dishonest people than have a tracking number, without actually sending amything off! Always ask sender for Proof of posting, this is the receipt they get (with tracker number) when the item is handed over the counter, and paid for. If any seller says he has lost it, be suspicious!
Indeed, I have a nice big pile of SD stickers sat next to me at this very moment.

Having said that, it won't get a delivery confirmation if it hasn't been sent.
No delivery confirmation means ebay will find in favour of the buyer, so isn't it a moot point?

My problem, this time, is that the item was "signed for", under my name, when I wasn't there. So far I haven't managed to track down my parcel.
There is delivery confirmation, just not by me or anyone in my house, as neither myself, nor my partner were home at the time stated.

As a bit of extra info, I had another item delivered on Thursday. This item was signed for by a neighbour, 3 doors down. When I checked the signature, my name is recorded, despite the neighbour insisting they signed under their own name. Surely RM should make certain that if an item is signed for by a neighbour, its in that neighbours name, not the delivery name?

Cannot understand why the Postie is asking a neighbour to sign for a tracked item, so on this one, complain to the local office! . Could be this has happened woth your other letter.Could you not ask the Postie directly about this?

I think it's likely the Postman has signed your name themselves to save time and either stuffed it through the letterbox (if it would fit) or as you say has happened in the past put it in your wheely bins.

Now both of those things are not allowed and if your postie does this he/she is risking their job. We can leave items in a "safe place" but we require the permission of the of the person living at the address and ideally in writing so that if we leave it there and it goes missing we aren't at fault.
