The government is saying it will protect our Pension short fall...I think that's fair as IMO they were the one's that "Stole" our "Nest Egg" in the first place, plus allowing RM to take a Pensions Holiday.

My Terms & Conditions have been eroded to a point that is not worth worrying about! My Union has become a Joke, and I don't believe anyone takes them very seriously anymore (hope you're listening in Bournemouth Boys?)

My Current Senior Management have, by Independent Investigation, been found to be Incompetent (although they refuse to recognise the fact!) and basically try to Bully everyone into doing what THEY want!

I can't really see how things would get any worse if we were bought out by anyone else. Hope it's Tesco we might be able to get Club Card Points instead of Colleague Shares! And at least their Senior Management know how to run a Business, unlike our Idiots.

Depends what you mean by bad. Erosion od the USO, Zonal pricing (more expensive for rural areas), cherry picking of profitable areas if they decide to break up Royal Mail.

Yes our historical pension will be "safe" in Government hads. But future pensions won't have the same protection, and there will be little except the union to stop our contributions rising and benefits falling.

But they have not eroded to the point of minimum wage, minimal contractual hours, statutory holiday only, no allowances or supplements.

Management at local level will I think be culled quite violently, but I don't think the culture of bullying and excessive workload is likely to change. I also don't think that a Boardroom clear out is likely so Greene, Higson et al I think are likely to stay.

Lower Pay, less contractual hours, piece work, less annual leave, greater amount of outdoor work, more automation, less staff as well as less management - Thats just us.

Customers probably have, less deliveries, higher prices, fewer post offices, less services, infrequent collections and deliveries, also services that are currently free will eventually have a fee attached (call and collect early this year)
