Hi
Its a sad state of affairs who is going ever have the same trust to give when they hear this.
you cannot put a value on trusting someone, no money will be able to buy that.
its just very distressing.

Re: where is my registered mail?
Hi
one large donation was given to me to forward in the form of a cheque
for 10,000 dollars, now I have to say it vanished, I am raging to have to go back
to the donors and tell them. It has caused me a lot of torment
I cannot understand how there are not proper controls on registered letters.
how along the way it cannot be traced. no registered letter is safe.

Hi
to go a bit further there is a long story behind the donation
and it is a sad story, I will give it until Friday and then
I will let them know and there is no more I can do.

Re: where is my registered mail?
Have you tried getting hold of the recipient and asking them if it has arrived? Just because the online tracker doesn't say it has been delivered doesn't mean it is lost.
Why didn't you send it by Courier Post?

Re: where is my registered mail?
To add to my previous post, whilst I can understand your anger, you're aiming it at the wrong people. It's AnPost and Royal Mail you should be complaining to...
On a brighter note, the cheques can't be cashed by anyone else.

Re: where is my registered mail?
Hi
well I have filled in all the forms to get the ball rolling, when you are dealing with a donor from the USA and he could have
given the money to any big hospital in the US but he choose to give his money to me, I feel sick to my stomach
to think I have to go back and say its missing.
An Post has launched a investigation and I know it has to go through the right channells.
as a consumer I would have expected to get the service I deserved.

My brother lives in Dublin, and says An Post are the worst he has seen. He said Royal Mail are 10 times better than them clowns. More than likely they have lost it.

Loss of 10,000 dollars would have been even worse than loss of a cheque for 10,000 dollars.oaklands7 wrote:Hi

Always look on the bright side, that's my attitude.

Good Luck with it. I wasn't having a go when i said you're complaining to the wrong people btw, just that you're giving the attitude to the wrong people if you know what I mean. Totally understand how frustrating it is when you've paid for a service that you don't receive, totally maddening. Even more so when dealing with such a high value item.
And guess what numpty here has just sent a load of ebay stuff away without putting a return address on it

Re: where is my registered mail?
Hi
an official investigation has been launched through the proper channels I am learning fast about the stages it has to go through,
someone handled that letter and the royal mail will have to do its job and search back to when it arrived.
I am confident that we will get to the bottom of it because I will not give up nor will the powers that be.

Re: where is my registered mail?
I sent a package on separately a card to my partner in New Jersey USA, that was on the 5th Feb this year, none arrived and because he is with the police department has been able to check with all the post offices in the area.
I have sent other stuff with a different firm with no problems but went with parcel force ....... it was easier really but it still cost me over 40 pounds.
I'm not interested in compensation for loss etc.., also I know I won't get any, but the gifts has sentimental value and it distresses me that the box and card are just sat somewhere in some warehouse .
This has upset me so much, and I just don't know what to do next.
Any help would be grateful
Jane

Re: where is my registered mail?
Jane, the only thing u can do is contact parcelforce and see what they advise. How was the package sent? Did you have a tracking number? do you still have the receipt?

Re: where is my registered mail?
Well still no word, the official investigation is going on but it will take 30 days for the investigation to come up with an answer.
I have been trying to investigate myself to see how the system operates, seemly it only gets scanned the second time from the local delivery office
which is sheepscar leeds LS7 2 AT maybe its stuck there, someone from the office is going call there tomorrow and see if its there.

Thank you so much mazza111 for your reply
I had a reply from parcelforce today giving me information such as when and who signed for delivery at USPS in New Jersey, so I can't ask for anymore.
I'm grateful and appreciative to parcelforce who spent the time and effort in getting that information to me.
Thanks again
Jane xx

Re: where is my registered mail?
Jane, do you have someone in the states who can check the office where it was scanned?
Oaklands, at a guess the last place it was scanned is where it is. These are all counted and scanned at delivery office level. If there are any discrepancies then it would be hilighted. I'm still at a guess it being a letter that it could be stuck in a mail bag, which in theory means it could be anywhere. Amazing the amount of recorded letters I found stuck in mail bags in my time with RM, due to people not emptying bags properly. Unfortunately it happens
