Hi one and all. I'm new here. Really I just have a quick question as I've searched literally what seems like the entire internet for an answer.
I recently had an interview as Postman/Driver on 6th May 2011. Everything seemed to go well and I felt quite confident on leaving the interview.
I've checked the status of my application online and that remains unchanged. Also I've not heard anything back yet. I was just wondering if anyone knew how long they take to inform you of the outcome. Do they let you know if you are unsuccessful also?
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Interview Outcome...
From reports on here it can take a few weeks - I am guessing they are doing the background checks and waiting for a vacancy to put you in. Keep looking for other jobs but TBH but if you got to the interview and it went well chances are you'll be offered a position soon.
Ok and merged your 2 threads. Welcome and Good luck.

Hopefully yours will be a little less complicated.1-Applied for job passed all tests etc
2-Went for interview
3-Next day got email saying did not get job but put on waiting list
4-The next day had a phone call call saying i had the job, i told them about the email.
5-One hour later had another phone call saying i have not got the job(is this a record i had a job for an hour)
6-Two days later had phone call saying i have a job at a different branch(no problem with this as it is nearer home)
7-Two weeks later my online staus has just been updated to security checks passed
8-Now waiting for phone call
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Well just a small correction. When you join you'll have another and different reason to moannerradc wrote:UPDATE!!!!!!

In all seriousness congratulations and give the job a good go, and if I may suggest make up your own mind about it rather than let others.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
