What we waiting for???
Pec policy.
11. The Union will seek agreement from Royal Mail for a framework for urgent negotiations on all the abovementioned issues. If satisfactory progress is not made in line with the above policies by the end of April, then further consideration will be given to other sanctions against the employer. This will include not agreeing to or supporting development of revisions and/or Industrial Action.
It's now the end of April and i guess that royal mail has not changed it's position, why have we received a letter from HQ telling us the same as we knew at the begining of the month, The membership want some strong words followed by action, this is a chance for HQ to get members back on side, if they f**k this up then there's no hope, Memeber are being treated like s**t up and down the country, this is not exceptable. Lets make it clear to members that they having the backing of it's union, lines in the sand have been drawn it's time plans were created and members involved. HQ take the lead and lets do it!!!!!

Forget about the money, it's gone. The only time we'll get anything is after privatisation, and it will all be put in together as one payment of a few hundred quid.

I am about to grow a second ar*ehole....................at least that's just as likely as getting any sort of mutual agreement..............if only the CWU would wake up to the fact that RM are players and the CWU are not.fishtank wrote:dvbuk55 wrote:Will seek agreement???????????????????

Re: What we waiting for???
Believe it or not....this was from the Way Forward. If circumstances change beyond the control of the Business, that require this undertaking to be reviewed it will be done with full strategic involvement of the CWU nationally.
They have been telling the union the same lie for as long as i can remember...
And the union has been selling the same lie on to the membership.....
One group has an excuse....they are the employers....
The other is either very gullible....or very devious.

Unlikely it may be dv,but it could be useful to fully accomodate Rm's new business plan!dvbuk55 wrote:I am about to grow a second ar*ehole....................at least that's just as likely as getting any sort of mutual agreement...............fishtank wrote:dvbuk55 wrote:Will seek agreement???????????????????

Re: What we waiting for???
The Postal Executive are meeting next weds when a big call has got to be made. To say relationships are strained would be an understatment , the DGSP has sent a letter saying he wont meet Higson again as any trust has gone and has wrote Mora saying some named managers should be sacked.
Royal Mail have rejected the unions alternative offer for avioding complusory redundncies in London . The London offices will be balloted within the next two weeks over the fact their plans will lead to complusory redundnaices but also the rest of the union has to make a choice ever we are opposed to compusory redundancies or they are going to turn a blind eye. I have met the members in the Mount , East and South on all shifts and believe me they are scared in Mount 57% of the workforce dont have job under the new plan , 2 in every 3 postal workers in NiNe Elms do not have a job and 4 in every 5 in East London will not have a job.
I will post more including some intresting letters exchanges and members letters. This is not going to be like 2009 in London we are not going to stand our picket lines for anyone or giving agreement to handle our work we are fighting for our members rights to have a job.
People can either wake up to situration or moan about 2009 and fall into the trap Royal Mail want you too. They want out of the agreement , they want out of MTSF and they want to split the union and then isolate the membership so they can introduce a worse plan and CRs.
At least some of us can see it for what it is and hopefully we wont along with a few others have to fight it on our own again,

Re: What we waiting for???
Funny that, after 2010 was agreed both the CWU and RM hearlded in the "new working relationship",and now you're saying what a lying bunch of two-faced aholes they are!Plenty of people on here said that management wouldn't change, and that it was foolish to think otherwise. If anyone needs to wake up and smell the coffee, its the senior CWU leadership!Start listening to the people on the shopfloor, instead of selling your soul to the devil, before the lights go out at CWU HQ for the last time.............
same as it ever was...

Re: What we waiting for???
Your words dingo, not mine...There comes a time in any relationship when you either move forward and attempt to see whether the other side are going to change or you accept you can never have another agreement .
Where are we now in this process?
The membership are not stupid. They are aware that the very people who told them they had to trust Royal Mail or accept that they could never have another agreement are the same people who are now telling them that Royal Mail are not to be trusted...can you not at least see how that looks to an ordinary member?
The union were warned that the vague promises built into the BTA would not hold up when faced with a company preparing for privatisation and backed by a Tory Government, they were warned that the agreement only commited Royal Mail to try to avoid Compulsory Redundancies, they were warned that most of the commitments had more holes than a string vest and most importantly they were warned that,if they didn't get what they wanted they would simply pull out.
Now what you could say is that all of this may have happened without an agreement and it probably would have but....the membership, especially in deliveries were asked to accept a lot for BTA like longer saturdays, later starts,D2D payments going and shift payments going and these now appear to have been traded away for the proverbial handful of magic beans...
Now if they were taken from us against our will we could fight for them but to be traded away leaves us with nothing but the memories...and a sour taste.
You can blame the employer, the members, the government, whoever but the ultimate responsibility for splitting the union, breeding member disgust and apathy and weakening this union to the point where our employer simply treats us with contempt...i'm afraid belongs at the door of 150 The Broadway.

An unbelievably deluded and arrogant statement from somebody who derided people for telling him exactly that over 18 months ago.dingo wrote:

When the union hammers out these deals with R/M, do they ever take them away and have them looked over by someone that understands all the legal jargon.
