Hi,
im concerned about a few parcels im expecting, im expecting about 6, and 5 were meant to have arrived a week ago or more, is there delays in the mail at the moment? im in the south london area. usually if i order more than several parcels, i'll get atleast 2 or 3 parcels in one day on the week i expect them to arrive. but since the last 2 weeks, i have had one parcel a day at best.
some of the parcels i ordered around the same time, had arrived on time, some i ordered after came very quickly, so it feels like there is 4 missing parcels almost, but that seems incredibly unlikely, one or two of the original ones i ordered a couple weeks back, did eventually arrive, so what could be holding back the others?

Re: Delays?
What part of sarf Lon are you, apart form SE1 (A revision)and possibly SE16 as they are in the same building i don't think there are any major delays in the south.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Delays?
Hi there
Just read through your post.
I dispatched a parcel via second class recorded delivery to an SE1 London address last Tuesday (11th).
As of yesterday afternoon (18th) it has still not arrived. I am now getting more than a little concerned as the item send was very important. I cannot trace the parcel on the Royal Mail website as it simply says 'item posted is still progressing through our network' - I know from experience that this means nothing as I have had the same message appear after parcels have arrived at their destinations.
Any further information regarding delays relating to the Mandela Way Sorting Office would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE:
as of today, 19th, 4 parcels came! thats more like it.. if i order a bundle of parcels they usually come in heaps in a day (like today) unfortunately i was out and 2 of them i need to pick up..
im not sure whats been up last week, but something was definitely off, definitely some "quiet" delays going on, royal mail are hardly ever like that without an announced delay.
hopefully anyone else who's suffered this delay like me will get their mail this week.

Re: Delays?
I know SE1 were going through a revision that had turned bad, have you contacted the office directly as chances are it's still up the creek there.Matty1286 wrote:Hi there

Re: Delays?
Many thanks for your response POSTMAN.
I'm struggling to find the telephone number for the Mandela Way sorting office - have done several internet searches but only have the postal address.
Forgive me for sounding ignorant, but when you say that they are undergoing a revision which has turned bad, what exactly do you mean? I'm guessing job cuts/short staffing issues etc??
