Hi I'm new

Post by Romford37 »

I've not worked here long. Does anyone really enjoy their job? All I hear from the guys in the DO is how bad things have got. Have I made a big mistake?

Welcome,it has got worse some will say more than others.
Make your own mind up on what you do not what others tell you they used to do. :Very Happy

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Well, I absolutely LOVE my job. I'm new as well, I started Wednesday and I work in a great DO or it seems that way. After working in a completely different type of career (office based) for yonks, I feel like I might have stepped into the "Twilight Zone" working in my DO as I find that everyone is helpful, cheerful towards me and each other. Everyone has a moan about their job from time to time, but it is also what you make of it. My hubby is a long standing postie as well and yes it has changed from when he first became a postie in 1987, I've listened to him, took note of what he said and I still made the choice to work for Royal Mail and am so glad I have. Don't let any of the negative comments sway you, just give it a chance and make up your own mind about the job. :Very Happy

Perfect attitude in my opinion best way to approach it.

I may moan about the job and RM in general but would I invest so much energy and time into it if I did not think it was still a good job. :hmmmm

My opinion hasn't changed it still is the best job I have ever had, but it could be a damn lot better if things were done differently.
