Re: NATIONAL BRIEFING - TUESDAY 29TH MARCH
There is a write up in the 2010 forum.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thats all that was sent to me mate.If anything was taken out it wasn't by me.
I just pass on anything of interest i get hold of, and the only things i ever remove are names and phone numbers ect !
Good Luck
Thanks Geezer, didn't mean to imply that it was YOU who had 'edited' the National Briefing. Your post appears to be the only info we have on this so please keep up the good work.

Re: NATIONAL BRIEFING - TUESDAY 29TH MARCH
All I read are posts saying how everyone knew "Colleague Shares" was a scam and no one epected any money, why then are people calling for strike action?
Is it not the case that the CWU are using the Share Scheme as a bargaining chip in an attempt to garner support against the closures? The possibilty of closures is actually in the agreement, did the negotiators not think that RM might actually try and close offices?
As for people losing money! We've been losing money since that other breakthrough agreement i.e. The Way Forward. Much as it galls me to consider it but perhalps we should all give ourselves a £3+ a week pay rise!?

Re: NATIONAL BRIEFING - TUESDAY 29TH MARCH
The point of the Original Post was to inform the misinformed that its Royal mail and the Government shafting you not the union. The Union lessened the BLOW! But as we Know Unions are being attacked once again by Tories and dont have the power they used to. Doesnt make them ineffective tho. The union would be a lot stronger if people worked to rule and supported them instead of blamining them every time ROYAL MAIL BOSSES....NOT UNION...try to take more and more away in order to make a good price for the sell off for privitisation. Its gona Happen because of jelly spine workers who quiver every time royal mail roar off more cut backs.dvbuk55 wrote:You are clearly a union drum banger, who likes to spout the usual bullcrap about what a good deal this was, masterminded by the union negotiators........well wake up and smell the coffee..........RM said this, RM said that, RM was going to do this, we snatched victory from the jaws of defeat................well defeat is here dolph if you open YOUR eyes..............as for the so called £20 delivery supplement..............tell that to the part timer who is delivering six lots of D2D FOR A PRO RATA PAYMENT OF £10.............this was the biggest let down for part time union members ever....and that's a fact. In 12 months time when the business is privatised you won't recognise the business and the part the CWU will have...........well take a guess!dolphlundgren73 wrote:So like i said before OPEN your eyes and dont give me your moaning bullcrap when you are clueless about how life in Royal Mail actually is. You clearly dont know anything
That door 2 door payment was going to be gone! thats a fact coz they wer trialing the slip that went round the 6d2ds in order to pay you just for one. About 6 quid!. Your union made sure every one got at least £20 and secured SOME JOBS for the future by including them in workload.
Im a Postie on a massive round. Not a mail center worker. IM all for part timers bein made up to full time if ther are EVRS and savin other jobs from goin. What is your solution? Do you have the answers to deal with the Tryant mail bosses? Id like to hear them.

Re: NATIONAL BRIEFING - TUESDAY 29TH MARCH
I really do not care about payment for sets 4, 5 , 6 and beyond as there was never any money for them to begin with . Cant lose what you nver had to begin with.
The issue with the supplement was it created winners annd loosers wich was impossible to avoid by eplaving DTD payments with a suplement unless you set it high enough to accomdate those who have a very high number of DP's.
I was lucky as I didnt lose despite being 30 hour PT and now Im even luckier as im on a RLE duty back to FT hours so get £20 supplement which the duty would not have got before BT2010.

PEC DOCUMENT
'Ongoing problems with deployment of BT2010,mostly as a result of an overestimation of what can be achieved
in delivery revisions'
This is clear as a shite in a bottle, where in the agreement does the overestimation lie? Are they implying that
amendments to the delivery revision part of the agreement are needed?(effective performance,BSI,Geo route etc) or
they just laying all the blame at Royal Mail Planners and DOMs,and if thats the case then the workshops were an
expensive exercise in fantasy role playing.Hopefully 58k Gibson can give some clarity to this issue raised by the PEC.

It is nice of you to inform the misinformed but first you should make sure your information is 100% factual....dolphlundgren73 wrote: The point of the Original Post was to inform the misinformed that its Royal mail and the Government shafting you not the union. The Union lessened the BLOW!
Why do you think the union lessened the BLOW!...is it because the third issue of shares was converted into the revision lump sums?
Stop for a minute and think dolph....how far do you think these revisions would have gone without a lump sum?
The lump sums were not a present from Royal Mail, they were a necessary lubricant for change and would have obviously been on offer with or without the colleagueshare money to prop them up....£1000 was the minimum Royal Mail figured they would have to use to grease the wheels of change.
It's a fact because a big boy told you so.That door 2 door payment was going to be gone! thats a fact coz they wer trialing the slip that went round the 6d2ds in order to pay you just for one. About 6 quid!.
Where was this trial and where are the results?
Where is this infamous "slip"?
Smoke and mirrors from your employer dolph....it seems to have worked on some.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

RLE start time at my D.O has meant in the days of ESA it attracted the 0401 to 0500 shift money so the duty has around a £8 week rise.
Still as I work all my paid work hours whilst many are going home early it could be argued that a extra £8 a week is justified

Nonsense, there is no justification for an extra payment for working all your hours, that is already agreed and unless you start before 5 you would not be entitled to ESA

You have finally admitted that its EMPOYERS who have smoke and mirrors NOT the UNION, Well one mate.
Unions lessen the blow from employers. You dont get great deals any more. Mainly coz the government know there are too many "yes men" in this country who go with whatever they are told.
Then there are those who dont support the Union. They in effect have no voice and just moan on here which gets them nowhere.
IF YOU WANT A VOICE.SUPPORT YOUR UNION. TELL THEM YOUR CONCERNS(not forums). THE UNION IS OUR VOICE.

The union is the unions voice not the membership and ffs don't say "we are the union" - do you seriously think that the membership would have come up with this deal?.................of course not...........and as for yes men doing as they are told......well I rest my case dolph! As for smoke and mirrors, did each member get a full disclosure of the agreement...NO, was the membership bombarded with positives from the leadership...YES, was there a Plan B....well apparently there was which came to light a year later but has never been disclosed..so in that instance the voice was silent.

Re: NATIONAL BRIEFING - TUESDAY 29TH MARCH
Of course it is dolph but you kind of hope that a negotiating team that represents supposedly well over 100 years experience in the game and at least a quarter of a million in members subs as salaries can at least smell bullshit once in a while.dolphlundgren73 wrote: You have finally admitted that its EMPOYERS who have smoke and mirrors NOT the UNION,
1.D2D in it's present format will never be automated,it is and always was far too varied a product in size and shape and geographical spread to make that viable...i'm just an OPG on £19k and i know that.
2.The payment for D2D would never have been removed without the union's blessing because the quality, which RM was desperate to improve to enable growth would have gone through the floor....i'm just an OPG on £19k and i know that.
So it leaves you with two alternatives.
1.Those experienced and highly paid union negotiators believed the bullshit.
2.They didn't believe the bullshit but without a clue how to counter propose and desperate to get D2D into workload...at any cost, they simply re-projected the smoke and mirrors onto the membership.
