Heard from an area rep that RM have been told by Mr Ward at a meeting in London that they have until the end of April to find the money that was promised to the workers from the college shares.

Is there any truth in this?

The CWU reckon that we will still get these shares, what do you think?

Or what???? RM have won, they might give a few £'s and the CWU will claim victory.............I've no confidence in anything they come off with now.

It's possible that we may get something from the colleagueshares...but it will cost us something.
On Colleagueshare we will continue to make it clear that we cannot accept the company’s position. We will insist that Royal Mail must maintain the value of the payments expected by our members either within the terms of this scheme or via a new format.
Royal Mail have a new business plan.
A new business plan will probably require a new or amended agreement.
A new or amended agreement will need a lump or two to make it easier to swallow..... :whistle
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

I heard there may be a legal challenge due to people being given share money with their EVR there by setting a precedent. Not sure if there is a case , as " phantom shares " can be any price the company decide they are from day to day. If the company hasn't the cash to pay this would be pointless unless the CWU could get a weekly payment plan to spread the cost out of RM. I'm sure the lawyers will make more money out of it than we will anyway.

If he is successful which I doubt, it will be too late for me. I want it in next fortnight so I can use it to book holiday in Barcelona in my floating week off seven weeks time.

When are we going to get a bonus from Royal Mail to say Well Done and Thanks for the work, rather than bribe to accept changes :Boo hoo!

You had your thankyou bonus at Christmas! We'll always be offered bribes because Royal Mail know we can ALWAYS be bought on the cheap, just dangling a few quid in front of us and we'll take it regardless of the consequences! Sad? Yes,but true!

How we ,meaning hard working postmen and women have been treated in past few years and probably a few more as well come to think of it is almost criminal, the shares were paid out to people that left 5 weeks before we were supposed to get them so the money is there, its just typical royal mail behaviour now, we are left in limbo now if we get something or not, my advice is to expect nothing and let them drink champagne with it.
