Now don't you be holding back ftfishtank wrote:Sounds like the union is being kept out of the loop on the "new" business plan doesn't it?Moreover, the new Business Plan, in the process of being agreed with the Government, raises a huge question mark over the company's capability and integrity to honour all existing agreements, including the overarching objective of avoiding any compulsory redundancies.
New relationship my arse...same old sneaky, underhand, slimy, backstabbing, lowlife feckers.

Re: CWU:Royal Mail share cut 'scam'
How can royal mail be 18 months behind in it's modernisation plans? , and if it is who's fault is it, certainly not the employees. If they are stoney broke as they say, where are they getting the 200 million pound for further modernisation from?, how can a share valuation of £1400 done in september now be a valuation of £0. The first payment due to be made in april, 2 weeks away & now they come up with this crap, goodbye summer holiday, should have known never to bank on it, but then again it was only two weeks ago that the union put up the notice on the message board saying that we would be getting paid £536 in april. I would say "walk", but don't forget "walk" and don't be surprised if all e.V.R conditions and terms are ripped up, just what royal mail would like. The best option I feel would be to challenge them legally, in the courts. Run by guess who, our employers, lets face it we've been had, thanks again rm, a good ramming is just what I needed!!!

surely it should be all or none.
just another RM "level playing field" where all walks are equal except some are more equal than others.
:ncfo :vcfo :dcfo
Screw em all inc hayes and crew
look after number 1
Simple those leaving RM Group get a payment based on the most curent valuation that means those who are leaving over the coming months will get diddlysquat like those of us who are still in employment in RM Group. A exact date as to when the April valuation kicks in and the september 2010 ends would be of use to those who are cesasing employment in the near future.

To be precise I quote from the plan document
If, however, you are made redundant, retire or take ill
health retirement, or if your business is transferred
out of the Company then, provided you have had the
ColleagueShares for at least one year we will buy them
from you at their current valuation. So, we would look
back at the most recent valuation and buy them back
from you at that price. In the unfortunate event of
anyone who has held ColleagueShares for at least one
year dying, we would pay the money to their estate on
the same basis.

Surely you have a clear case of discrimination ?
you only need to prove that you have recieved less favouable treatment
than a co-worker doing the same job .
If you can get your co-worker to give you confirming documents of their payout.
an employment tribunal might consider it.
just thought though.. you might be out of time
worth investigating
no downside to putting in a claim

Just rung HR.....they just say that the shares are still being revalued?Asked about media info on shares(worthless etc)...would not comment or elaborate.Make of that what you will.As for all this speculation on recent leavers(those after October) being paid....i would be very surprised if there is any credence to that.We need details.Too many wind up merchants on this site.
