Most in our office feel it's a stitch up , about 66% of our lot decided to get their own back on RM senior management by working through their brakes . I just don't understand where RM senior management get the idea that they can treat us posties like mugs

Pretty much the same although we still have a lot qualifying for the CS. The apathy in a lot of people surprised and angered me, a case of " oh well, can we get back to our walks now?". The selfish, flying , i'm alright jack types, already had their engines runningass asin wrote:a few of us oldies vented our anger but we have a lot of newish starts who never qualified for the cs and there in lies the problem when it comes to any type of action.

No sign of a manager at our place to inform us of whats happened. I informed them whilst on IPS and there was more than a few pissed off faces!

Re: how was the news recieved in your branches
We had a WTL session with the area Union rep today, at which this was announced - he appeared surprised to hear our 'managers' had not had the guts to tell us earlier.
The reaction? Well, what a freaking surprise, stitched up again.
Still, despite being a union man/labour voter, all my 30+ year working life, I feel we were equally stitched up by the CMU last year. Inflation busting pay increase my ar%e. I'm now about £50 pw worse off.
My doubled D2D, supposed to be done on work time, no chance. Management & CWU don't seem to have come to any agreement about this.

Obviously. Right at the beginning of this sham it was clear to see there was no way Royal Mail would EVER pay out a final sum on the 'phantom' (their word) shares. Every stunt they could find would be used to ensure a zero payout. Smoke and mirrors every time with the compulsive liars of Royal Mail management. Surely you've all realised that by now?

Re: how was the news recieved in your branches
we have a reserve manager at the moment, when she told everyone in WTL today there was a minute of complete silence..
...followed by one guy saying "so when are we going on strike?"
his words were followed by the others cheering yeah lets get back on the gate with the BBQ

Its a pity the 'negotiators' (cue the theme tune to The Professionals) didnt realise that in october 2010 and the sameDee Plish wrote: Smoke and mirrors every time with the compulsive liars of Royal Mail management. Surely you've all realised that by now?
goes for the PEC months later and then the reps rounded up at the roadshows and finally nearly all CWU branches at ballot time.
