Now I'm fecking fuming, how can they possibly get that amount when us poor sods left behind get f**k all. Someone at RM has cooked the books yet again.
you will find they got £1443.00 for the 711 shares they had and payed only 3 weeks ago
Are we going to let royal mail walk all over us even more, we have been stuffed with door to doors, everyone is loosing a bomb on those now they get 5 & 6 delivered a week. we were told they would be all sleeved and machine sorted to compensate. NOW THIS, what are the unions doing about it, the company have got most or all of what they wanted, Posties have ended up well out of pocket. Royal Mail seem to be looking for a fight????
I'm not suprised by this one little bit, more Royal Mail b*u*l*l*s*h*i*t, I was told by my DOM today to " get another job, if you dont like it ". This after doing a 4 hour plus delivery using an HCT for the first time today. Royal Mail's s*c*u*m* management are treating us like s*h*i*t and the CWU are letting them get away with it!!
The reason payments were made to the leavers is that they had to be paid at the most recent valuation (I think done in September and April of each year, to coincide with the half and full year financial statements) Last September thay wre at £2+ per share. Thay are still worth £2+ until the next valuation next month. We also do not have to cash in the shares this year, we can choose to hold onto them until next year, which I think we should, after all we now have nothing to lose but if the Bill goes through and the Government take on the pension deficit the company will be worth an awful lot more so the shares will rise in value again.
I'll get my coat now
(My goodness that sounds like optimism from a Postie Find him and beat him with rolled up D2D's until he succumbs to the gloom-mongering of everyone else TURN HIS LIGHT OFF NOW)

'Coz themz their rules......the only option we have is not to sell them this year according to the colleagueshare leaflet we received earlier.....However RM will buy all the shares you have next year at whatever value they are at regardless of whether you wanted to sell them or not

Can remember getting £400 but where is the rest?
You have received £600 in Local dividends and £600 in Group dividends split up as follows
£400 for each dividend was paid on 30/5/08 and £200 on 29/5/09,in total £1200 gross.
The final dividends were replaced by the Pay Deal Lump Sum of £400 replacing the final dividends of £200 Local and £200 Group

£1600.
Most of us still have £600-800 to receive yet! The last payment we received was either £200 or £400 cant remember!
But regardless royal fail have really F***** us over big time. This really does not help relations one bit!
If its written in the contract they will be forced to payup or the otherhand RM could go tits up with lots of people being made unemployed. But all Directors, including the government would have breached Company law act 2006(not sure exactly what statute), plus all the auditors that work for RM would be probably be struck off never to work in auditing again. Plus our directors etc could face jail. Worse scenario, hope i've cheered you up
