i like how they say our profits are down 72 percent due to falling mail volumes! not the fact that there 2010&beyond plan has been a f**k up! and the fact that the company has an obese number of managers getting money for jackshit!

billy n daves response is going to be most excellent considering the roadshows they put on to convince everyone to vote yes on the deal of the century remember no plan b
lets put out the vote again and see the result
they must resign now they have decieved the membership along with putting our mail service at risk
the pec should also resign for voting in favour of this mess
m greene should sack her negotiating team and senior mgmt
and what rock did acas run away and hide under they should be disbanded and barred now
where are you mr poole
we were not in anywhere near this mess before agreement

Well, it don't affect me, but commiserations to them what it does affect. I have to admit, even as a bystander with nothing staked in this, my dealings with the company to date had led me to suspect this as the most likely outcome. Whether it's justified or not is for others to dispute.

If the shares are worthless then what has happened to the £50+ million that has appeared on the companies accounts every year labelled as 'Colleague Shares' ?
e.g. (from here)
2010 accounts Page 4
Colleague Shares 2010: £82M
Colleague Shares 2009: £158M

Re: colleague shares??(Share price to be revealed Tuesday)
There are a number of members on this forum who are not unintelligent, who have served a lifetime in Industry and seen management and deals come and go.
When this deal first saw the light of day a good number of WORKING OPGs said it would not work and it was a mistake to trust the employer. The professional union bods who are NON WORKING members were adamant that this was the real deal.............they were paid off by the promise of release and a formal arrangement over union finances, which had nothing whatsoever to do with the rewards and working conditions of the ordinary membership.
It is now time for these people to face the music and in all conscience resign. They should renege on the fulfilment of this agreement which has not been upheld and go to the membership for advice on what they should do next because they are clearly unable to formulate any reasonable response to what is a treacherous act.

That was never in doubt regardless of colleague shares AND we didn't have to wait until Tuesday, because it appears that SKY are actually better informed than Dingo and the union membership...............it may be worth subscribing to Sky instead of the CWUmvinny wrote:3500 more jobs to go!
