They can ask you to do whatever they like, whether you've got the 'time' to do it though is another thing.hans solo wrote:their going to ask us to do more lapsing on mon/tues

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Strangely enough pne I thought that was a little porky too.....................however, I heard something just today that lent a little bit of credence to the theory that RM did have a cash flow problem a few weeks ago and had to do a little wheeler dealing to make the payroll. The bloke who imparted the info is certainly not given to flights of fancy........I'm just wondering if the modernisation costs spiralled too quicklypne_postie wrote:Wether we get any dosh or not it never fail's to amuse/bemuse me the amount of crank's who infest this site pretending to be ITK when they clearly know f-all.
As for the 'cash flow problem' - do me a favour.
No doubt another Chinese whisper started by some weirdo with too much time on their hand's!

The fact that the business is in financial trouble is not in doubt, the question is will the membership be asked or expected to bail them out...again through poorer terms and conditions.
Forget the colleagueshares, because they were always down to some shady number crunching that the union was never allowed access to,what Royal Mail really wants is next years 3.5% and the transformation payments which will now drag on into 2015.
When most unions negotiate a multi-year pay agreement they at least have the sense to get the bulk up front in case things go pear-shaped.
The fact that our negotiators didn't and risked the bulk of our pay rise on it working shows that they bought into this vision of modernisation just as much as management did therefore they are just as culpable.
Cries of "We were conned" and "It wasn't our fault" and pathetic attempts to wash their hands of "Royal Mail's business plan" aren't going to cut it with the membership.

I don't know how much time you've spent here reading threads, and seeing what people are like, but while TBT and the other MOds are reasoned, polite and respectful, it doesn't mean that they take any crap from anyone....so you can shoot your mouth off as much as you like ( in fact pay close attention to my sig ), but frankly your implication that TBT & the MOD Squad are RM stooges is just a little bit offensive to me - there are plenty of targets out there for you to aim at, but the MODS ain't one of them, so pack it in!edwardo wrote:how can anyone on this website defend the cwu ( blue terrier inc and the rest ) we all know RM are rotten and dishonest to the core , but our own union could they not see a tory election win ,of course that would effect the deal they had just agreed . If you're calling me a screw you obviously don't know me, but you know what? It doesn't bother me in the slightest, it only devalues my opinion of you, and of your own opinionsedwardo wrote:that sounds like amanager talking smoker jim everyone is entitled to their own point of view free speach and all ok
