With the U.S. Postal Service delivering mail Monday through Saturday, Sunday is the only guaranteed day off for postal workers. So while thousands of opponents of Gov. Scott Walker's budget proposals protested once again in Madison on Saturday, postal workers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Chicago, South Dakota and elsewhere came to Madison Sunday to lead a rally of their own.

"Today every letter carrier and every union member in America - public or private - consider themselves citizens of this great state," Nicole Rhine, a letter carrier from Lincoln, Neb., and the assistant secretary-treasurer of the National Association of Letter Carriers, said to cheers from the crowd of a couple thousand.
