Hi I'm expecting a package shipped out from the UK to Canada. Using the online track and trace I get this message:
"A delivery was attempted for your item with reference _______________ in PL DEL SEC 1 PDO before 11:24 on 16/12/10.
A card may have been left, depending on the country's postal service. If undelivered, it will be returned to the UK."
I was wondering if some one could help me decipher this message. Does it mean the item posted from PL DEL SEC 1 PDO, has had delivery attempted? Or does it mean that a delivery was attempted at that location? OR does it mean that delivery was attempted to customs here in Canada? I'm really not sure what i means any advice would be appreciated. The time stamp is also throwing me off, because I checked the tracking this morning at 9:30 AM (eastern standard time) and its stamped for 2 hours later than that.
If it helps the package was shipped via Airsure from Plymouth, Devon, UK, to Toronto Ontario Canada.
Thanks for the help.

The above means that the item you posted 'from' PL DEL SEC 1 PDO was attempted to be delivered (to the address you posted it to)but the recipient wasn't in and a card (possibly)was left."A delivery was attempted for your item with reference _______________ in PL DEL SEC 1 PDO before 11:24 on 16/12/10.
A card may have been left, depending on the country's postal service. If undelivered, it will be returned to the UK."

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
