A mate received an lp thru the post and on opening it found that it was broken, it was packaged in a lightweight card record mailer with one piece of cardboard inside to strengthen it. Could someine tell me whether it would be looked on as the Postal service's or senders fault?

One of these things - as long as the sender followed instructions then he can claim but it won't be a lot 6 x 1st Class stamps if sent through normal mail plus postage.

Yeah they are covenient but mp3s are worth nowt and cds are worth 99p on ebay 2nd hand. Bought a 7" brand new at a gig and a month later the same 7" fetched £70+ on ebay, cant pass up good cash like that if the chance arises.

all standard post carries a 100x1st class cover
thats up to £41 on todays prices
as long as they have proof of posting and meet RMs packaging guidelines
