Don't underestimate the role BoI play in the travel money business. They buy all the currency, distribute it to branches, manage a lot of back office administration, pay for a lot of sales and marketing support etc etc et
I don't underestimate what the BOI do in the travel money business, but the end of the day i sit on the bureau counter all day serving the queue, doing business deposits and change orders, then an ebayer will come in with loads of parcels whilst someone wanting bureau will be behind them i don't see the local sub-office doing that. Also instead of sending people on expensive courses trying to rip people off in upselling why don't the BOI give a decent rate on currency we have a couple of travel agents by us each morning they come to the postoffice to see our rates then laugh :Very Happy then they go and report back to their shop and just adjust the rates and guess what the customers shop around and yes you have guessed it get served by someone just selling bureau in a nice environment not with queues out the door with smelly customers shouting at them when they jump the queue at the bureau counter. Have you sorted my pay deal out yet Richard? If not i will see you on the picket line thanks for waiting :wave

I’d still dearly love to know why Crown Offices are credited with ‘Income’ at less than 10% of the Margin?

I’m sure there is a perfectly logical explanation – this is driving me mad – I can’t sleep at night for not knowing…

It's called 'hobbling'. Which is "To hamper the action or progress of; impede."

Don't you get it?

It's been engineered that way so that we CANT make a profit in Crowns. If we made a profit then where is the argument for shutting us?

BUT... If it were done so that no matter how much we sold of ANYTHING, and couldn't turn a profit.. backs up POLs argument for conversions etc. Does it not?

Don't you worry someone on a wage about £150,000 probably worked it out, goodnight sweet dreams (about a 10% payrise) :dance :dance :dance
