I would've expected the parcel arrived in au few days ago. but now, my parcel is still in uk somewhere, according to the reply i got from rm.

i asked rm yesterday, where is my parcel, they said last scan was at heathrow and it would arrive soon. today i asked them again about this, turned out 'it hasn't even left uk...'     have to wait another 21 days till i can lodge a claim. :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad

International Signed For isn't trackable once it leaves the UK:
Visible - Royal Mail’s Track & Trace provides up to date visibility until the item leaves the UK. But please be aware this works for Airmail only and is not available when sending by Surface Mail.
(http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/cont ... d=400035#1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

so chances are that it has left the UK and is en-route to au.

btw, is "au" Austria or Australia?

Thanks for reply, it has already been comfirmed by rm that it hadnt even left uk, i asked for the reason, they said they dunno and normally it should arrive by now, however I had to wait 21 days to enquire. Anyway, I have already got refund from the seller.

FYI, australia. :)

couple of points for you, you said its international signed for, that unfortunately doesnt tell us whether the sender sent it via airmail or surface mail it could have gone either way and still be international signed for

Surface mail time scale for delivery to australia upto 12 weeks

Airmail timescale for delivery to australia is upto 7 working days so assuming it was posted as you stated on 18th then uptil 1st march before it should get to you and also it is only tracked again after its delivered not at every stage of delivery

with airmail a couple of other points, max weight is of 2kg and there is a heap of restrictions on what can fly so it may have been sent surface instead, and also its 25 working days before a claim can be made

from international signed for information page on royalmail website

To ensure fast and secure handling, International Signed For™ items are scanned at the following points in the UK:

Post Office®; (for those items paid for and posted at your local branch)
Local mail centres
Royal Mail International processing centres Heathrow

We are also currently working closely with our overseas partners to improve the availability of Track & Trace information abroad, which is, as yet, not generally available with International Signed For™.

if it was scanned at heathrow as you said, it wont be scanned again until after delivery now probably

Thanks for all your replies. I expected status would change to "item has been forwarded to Australia" or something like that as it did update when my parcel actually had left uk last time i used royal mail. Anyway, will c what's gonna happen. The seller said it's sent via international signed for airmail...and it's just a iPhone 4 case....although it's made by metal, I assumed it would not have a problem to get on the plane. :confused
