Hi, Left royal mail 5 years ago, been trying to get back in since last September, nothing ever comes up on the web site for any vacancies in my area (west yorks) and im starting to get a bit down about it. When I was a delivery pm there was never enough posties to cover the duties. I realise there is a job shortage but delivering mail does'nt suit everyone. Would welcome any ideas anyone has, just to get the ball rolling. regards

Go to your old DO and see the bods there,you may get lucky.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Postman has it spot on - NE division is half way through a revision and some of the West Yorksire offices (esp in Leeds) went badly wrong - rumour is that they are bringing some duties back so as Postman says get down to the DO and ask, you never know.
