Can anyone give an e-mail address to send a complaint to please because customer services aren't helping.
On 14 December my wife paid Parcel Force £24.19 to post a parcel to Ireland. Over a month later it was returned marked ‘incorrect address’.
As:
- I used to live at the address
- We have had no problems with letters / packets sent before or after
- We have documents (eg telephone bills) that prove the address was correct
We did not think it would be difficult to repost the parcel. How wrong we were. To date we have:
- Been into the post office who told us to call Parcel Force
- Called Parcel Force who told us to e-mail Parcel Force
- E-mailed Parcel Force who told us to fill in a form
- Filled in a form, but they won’t tell me when we will get our money back
- Complained via e-mail but been told to either send a letter or call a premium rate number
If I was cynical I would say that Parcel Force are deliberately being obstructive so that they don’t have to refund the money ie make it as difficult as possible and most people will just give up.
I realise this is an unofficial forum - any help in getting a mail address where we can get a sensible response to what should be a simple complaint would be appreciated
Thank you

Re: Parcel Force
I can think of no other reason why a parcel would be returned with 'incorrect address' on it apart from it really had the incorrect address on it.
Did it need to be signed for and perhaps a card was left and it wasn't picked up from the post office?
Is there a sticker on the parcel, can we have a pic of it,what does it say?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Parcel Force
Also was it Northern Ireland or Eire - if it was Eire then it may have been An Post who rejected it rather than Parcel force.
As postman says if you can photograph the returned to sender sticker and put it on here - (Dont show your address - or the other address) that may help us give you advice.

Re: Parcel Force
Thank you for your responses - I e-mailed Dick Stead and a member of his team has resolved the issue for me.
Parcel Force use a third party (GLS) in Ireland - as they do not have the same local knowledge as the local postal service they sometimes have difficulty locating addresses especially in rural areas.
Upshot is I am getting my money back and I will repost the parcel, but this time with both my and the receiver's telephone numbers written on it.
Thanks again for the responses
