There will be nothing for them to inherit....except maybe crumbling inner cities, worn out nuclear power stations, political and social apathy, Mc Jobs, etc and a vague sense that, within living memory, this was once one of the finest nations on earth, with industry heavy and light, a safe financial sector ( and proud of it's prudence ), and the whole world was it's oyster....all before the "everything must go" mentality of Govts past started, and before people were told "grab what you can for YOU, before it's gone!"....

Efficient or what . Chernobyl goes into meltdown and bathes most of western Europe in radioactive fallout so you cover it up with a sarcophagus that will last for 10 years. Then twenty five years later you remember you should have put a new top on it fifteen years ago cos it's leaking quite badly now. Excellent ,new containment fits over the top and is designed to last for 100 years .
I'm wondering just how big the box they put on it will need to be in 250,000 years time
