Item From Luxembourg

Post by xpoqkss »

Hi an item was sent to me from Luxembourg on the 2nd December. The tracking shows it arrived at London Mt. Pleasant on the 4th of December. That's it. The item never turned up and the tracking never showed it being returned either. Okay there was christmas etc but after nearly 6 weeks and still nothing the item was resent. It was dispatched again from Luxembourg on 10th January and this time it turned up in HDCW Langley the very next day. I waited again until checking again today to discover it's been sent back to Luxembourg. Can someone tell me why this would happen? I can assume the first attempt may have got lost somewhere... but the second one I'm absolutely baffled by? Is it standard practice to send international items back? I've not been contacted in anyway and I'm really frustrated. I *need* this item by the start of March, it's beyond me how it can arrive from a different country in less than 48 hours and be within 60 miles of my own home twice but 7 weeks after initially being sent I don't have it. Can anyone advise me which department is best to contact? Obviously the specific depots but I mean who at the RM can I actually get an answer from. Oh and if it's of any importance the item would just be the size of letter. Thanks in advance for any help.

Without seeing what the scanning history of the item is its ipossible to advise why its being sent back, there are many and various reasons why this could be so.

My best advice would be to use twitter to send a Direct Message to @royalmail - (you'll need to follow them) with the tracking number and they should be able to help more than we can as they check the whole scanning history of the packet.

Good luck.
