Shrimpster as far as I know the entry requirements for the TUC Occupational Health and Safety Diploma are:
Union safety representatives who wish to take this course should have:
•previously attended the TUC stage 1 and 2 Health and Safety Courses; or
•obtained 8 30-hour OCN credits, with a minimum of 4 credits at Level 2 (24 10-hour OCN credits); or
•obtained a suitable equivalent to the two categories above through their own union's courses or from elsewhere.

Re: Occupational Health and Safety course
cwu quires you complete stages 1-3 of the H&S courses held at the residential centre at Alvescot and be a H&S rep at your unit , separate TUC courses are available and they require evidence of H&S training. ref your area rep for CWU courses
