Lifted from an article about problems in Worcester.
Far from private companies being a solution..........
My customers were getting deliveries in 3-4 day from elsewhere, whilst I had 5 days in December Block delayed for 12 + days, the 10th of December missed Christmas, whilst the 23rd ( 5 days after the deadline ) got the on the 24th December, .....do you think the Rush in Worcester was the cause of my problems in Birmingham?.

Quite possibly as the MCs and offices I think are in the same general region.

Do you have any knowledge of Newtown, possible known as Aston, Birmingham and if so any issues with the depot?

No - I am in Yorkshire - I used to live in that part of the world nearly 25 years ago.

Shame, I am convinced my issues lie at that depot, I feel something is wrong there somewhere.

Amazon dispatched my order 1st class on the 31st December, and now I'm still waiting for it to be delivered! Are there any more updates on their service or am I likely to wait longer for my package?

Some areas and locations still have a backlog and some are completely up to date. So its difficult to give you any advice without knowing roughly where you are - Town would be fine.

I don't know anything official about Newcastle but I have heard rumours that there is a backlog there - not as bad as parts of Scotland so hopefully it should be with you soon. To be honest if you have not got it by Monday I would ring Amazon and explain the situation they will probably resend the order and "upstep" the delivery so it can be tracked usually at no cost to you.

Anyone know if this is still affecting areas? I'm in Peak District. Tracking system says it's been in the North West Distribution centre for the last week, are they still having problems there?

Can anyone confirm whether there are any delays/backlog affecting the Ashton-under-Lyne depot?

A parcel from amazon (supersaver delivery) posted 31 Dec, est delivery date 7 January has yet to arrive.

Normally I wouldn't have worried and just assumed it was delayed however a lovefilm dvd that was due to arrive that day also didn't turn up.

I haven't had any problems previously with either company (maybe just lucky?) and items posted by them, after the above ones, have arrived.

Is it possible that a specific day's delivery can go missing?

Why I'm worried is that, whilst the amazon parcel would not fit thru' the letterbox and would need to be collected from the sorting office, no card was left and there was no reason why the lovefilm disc could not have been posted thru'.

I have contacted lovefilm regarding the missing disc, but need to check at the sorting office before contacting amazon.

Does anyone have any ideas or advice?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
