Will you be going FT? If so................could you please ask Billy if he can justify his salary for the amount of work he does and if he will be giving up his final salary pension for a less lucrative career average...............perhaps less than average would be more appropriate :chuckle :chuckle

Are you going along?
There will be plenty of time for questions and debate at the end. Might be an opportunity to demonstrate the deep feelings /resolve/commitment of the membership.
Bye

Whilst Billy now lives in Mitchum , he is a scouse. Why don t you attend you will have an opportunity to ask questions and Billy , Dave and Bob Gibson dont shirk going anywhere and its the agm season so you will have a great opportunity to say what you want and they will reply.

The problem is it is one thing to say something behind a keyboard and a totally differnt kettle of fish when you have to do it to someones face in front a meeting where most will know your office and maybe you and what you have previously done for your office or membership.

That's a double edged sword though dingo.
These meetings can be very intimidating for members who lack the confidence to stand up and speak in front of their peers. That doesn't mean that they have nothing to say or that their points are not valid.
Like any meeting at any level a lot gets left unsaid that should be said...and i'm not talking about cheap personal insults.
You can't force members to speak up but you can keep in mind that you may not be seeing the full picture.

That must be a bit like talking about work as opposed to doing any.

The problem with the likes of Billy and Dave is they are surrounded by sycophants telling them what great clothes they're wearing.

Perhaps I should rejoin the union and then I would be able to beard the lion in its den :hmmmm would I be reticent I wonder.......

Fishtank whilst I accept some do not like speaking in public meetings , I think if someone is angry or feels passionate enough about something they normally do.

I have been to loads of AGMs over a number of different Branch"s and hundreds of other meetings and questions come from loads of different people. Plus you find a lot of members hang around after and then ask you questions when the meeting has finished.

Most reps loved the question and debate side of meetings and of course the chance to speak to members. The difference between this site and such a meeting is that neither the member asking the question or the union official responding can spin the facts .
