I need some advice!!!!!
I work on a small post office as a cashier. As of late the Post office variant has been up and down. We were all issued with a warning letter telling us to be more careful which is fair enough but now it gone the other way. At the beginning of the week the variant was up £70 and then from the 5/11/10 it jumped to +£300 in two working days. It then dropped to +£100 and then went back to +£300 and then on Friday it dropped to +£150 and then on Saturday 13th the day I worked in the Post office and cashed up the variant was +£130. I have spoken about this with my Boss the sub postmaster about this and I have been told it will sort its self out and that as long as it does not fall below +£100 no mistakes have been made. I have said that the variant should not be so high, and yet I have not had it explained to me . Can some please advise as this is making me feel uneasy!!

"It will sort itself out"... Ah, that classic line.
And to be told that a variance of £100+ is ok, well....
Go above them and call the NBSC and ask them for an audit explaining why.

Do you think something doggy is going on then?
I'm unsure I'm still quite new to this I have only been trained now for 6months. I just feel that something is not right.
Can I get request audit anonymously? I really dont want to lose my job.

It is quite possible that everything's a-ok but you said yourself, something is not right.
