Buzz Words
With privatisation looming the use of buzz words will be evident.A popular management and politician phrase is 'going forward ',overused it must make people want to scream. My favourite new expression that I have heard a lot recently is 'wriggle room'.I take it as meaning little room for manouevre but given the snakes involved in the proposed sell-off perhaps it means something more reptilian altogether.

So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

Re: Buzz Words
The manager doing our collections revision keeps talking about 'value added time'. We have no idea what this is and I'm not sure he does either, but I assume it means doing more work in less time. When I asked if we were going to get more hours in for the tipping and segging of collections mail this was all he blabered on about, so I took that as a no

Re: Buzz Words
I definitely like that one philthy "value added time", I have absolutely no idea what on earth it means but I can assure you I will be using it tomorrow to the "management" on one pretext or another and I'll just bet they nod sagely without realising it means feck allPhilthyPhil wrote:The manager doing our collections revision keeps talking about 'value added time'.
