HCTs

Post by brothermagrew »

According to the Courier Royal Mail have ordered an extra 5,000 high capacity trolleys (HCTs) of the latest design, which have some new features. They include a mail bundle holder, a lockable drawer for mail items and clothing, and castor wheels on the front to aid manoeuverability.

The HCTs can carry up to 75kg - the equivalent of 350 paperbacks - while the lightweight trolleys can take 32kg. They have been thoroughly tested to see what impact they have on people's bodies. Research shows that the trolleys put less stress on your body than a bag carried over the shoulder.
