Whilst winter or all season tyres have a higher silicone content in the tread which prevents it hardening at lower temperatures, and therefore gives better grip in cold wet conditions. Have never known to actually have been given winter tyres per se.

sorry did not notice that..
oh gawd...I don`t know why i am shocked really...just stunned by being told that winter tyres would in no way improve our safety..as "we would rely on them instead of driving appropriately"

Winter tyres ! :crazy: :funneh your joking i`m afraid all you get is the cheapest tyres on the market that are imported all the way from china. :cuppa Not sure if anyone looks into the technical side of tyres anymore. As usual now with vehicle maintenence its fit the cheapest parts avaliable ignoring the quality . These tyres are poor in good weather hate to think what they wil be like in snow or heavy rain.
