Hi browsing the web and came across you all so figured i pop in and say hi....I`m a ex postman and was with royal mail for 17 years and i`m wondering if any of you people could help me, i took voluntary redundacy as the office where i working was closing down over year and 3 months ago and i`ve seen a job with royal mail which i wanna apply online, now my problem been is when i put in my national insurance number in i get told that my application can no longer be continued, so i was wondering if any of you peeps can help me find out how long it has to be before i can re apply to re join the business, or is there a way i can re pay back part of the money i got so i can apply now ?? The web site says to contact hrsc sheffield but does not give me no phone number just a postal address so if anybody could get this off the back of there wages slip for me this would be helpful....ok thanks for talking th time to read this and take care ...Allan

Hi many thanks for the quick reply and i did kinda think it was 2 years, i`m working part time for DHL sorting parcels and i have tell you the staff working here are so disillusioned with the company i think the working practises in this country with big companies is totall shocking, but back to my original question....the job i seen is specialist services relay driver, mixture of sorting and driving and full time contract which is what i`m after really, I`l give sheffield a ring tomorrow to see whats what...to be honest i never did get any joy with them as a royal mail employee so as a outsider now lol i dont think i`l get far but worth a try and see what info i can extract from them. cheers again

I i am pretty certain it is 2 years, and i don't think you can return to your original office.
