Heard a rumour today that the Mortgage product we offer to punters is to be withdrawn from in branch and would only be available via direct application - if this is true we soon won't have any products left to sell.

I suppose there is no point in training fss to sell mortgages when the top branch in my region sold one

Good idea. Move all the profitable products to the Webshite, and let the income so derived support the Branch Network. Branches can then concentrate on serving customers with what they want, whilst cutting out all the costly nonsense.

They have always known what they are doing – just as I do when I bang my head against the wall. It doesn’t make it advisable though.
