It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thats the problem with Royal Mail managers, they are all glorified posties.

They don't have the balls to strike, then again if they do, I won't miss our gutless piece of work.

I can't see the managers striking myself, they are way too spineless for any form of solidarity.
Even if they did, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them in the next Working Time Sleeping session telling us we had to accept the changes to our pensions because it was good for the future of the business.

its nice to let rip,but i dont think [managers]foremen are our real problem. all their actions are sanctioned from above and shaped by the business culture. The only people who benefit from maintaining and widening this divide are BIG AL and LITTLE C,sorry thats crozier.

You may not believe this but one of our illustrious line managers once told me that RM Managers were "sought after and he knew of some who had been "head hunted"" - my response was threefold - fit of uncontrollable laughter, queried if the event took place in Borneo and surmised that McDonalds had suddenly opened thousands of new drive throughs'.

RM Manager = McJob. Love it. Perhaps they could get those badges where you get stars? The more stars the more of a McJobsworth you are.
