Your work or my work?
I can't comment on your work........

I can understand that; I mean, defusing a car bomb or worrying about the dog inside number 13 Acacia Avenue....So someone who feels they cant cope with the stress of being a postie, may well indeed be a good bomb disposal officer because the causes of stress, and how you handle them are different.
Quite obviously reading your reply you have applied the "Engineering" or linear approach to stress which I and others disagree with. I and the counsellors I have dealt with are of the opinion that stress is cumulative and individualistic and therefore if people believe one job is less stressful than another they are probably correct for themselves on an individual basis, but it certainly cannot be applied in exactly the same way to everyone else.Tman wrote:I can understand that; I mean, defusing a car bomb or worrying about the dog inside number 13 Acacia Avenue....So someone who feels they cant cope with the stress of being a postie, may well indeed be a good bomb disposal officer because the causes of stress, and how you handle them are different.it's a tough one right enough..
.Perhaps some posters here have mistaken pressure and stress
Who has confused stress with working hard I haven't. I actually find working hard de-stresses me.Tman wrote:[.Perhaps some posters here have mistaken pressure and stress
And perhaps some more have confused "stress" with "working hard".
To go home tired is no indication of stress at work, and there's nothing inherently stressful about delivering mail.
Working hard seems to "distress" quite a few in RMWho has confused stress with working hard I haven't. I actually find working hard de-stresses me.
Well that advanced the discussion quite markedly. Perhaps I should reply in the same vein as you but frankly I don't see the point.Tman wrote:Working hard seems to "distress" quite a few in RMWho has confused stress with working hard I haven't. Again with the sweeping statements Tman.Tman wrote: Working hard seems to "distress" quite a few in RM
Just a little play on words, although I'm sure you've been an RM employee long enough to realise there's more than a grain of truth in it.Well that advanced the discussion quite markedly. Perhaps I should reply in the same vein as you but frankly I don't see the point.
