i was given a full walk on my second day there but the prep was done for me. Sounds like you made good time for your first walk........but make sure you claim for any overtime

And whatever happens, if it gets too much for you don't go and do something stupid like dumping the mail.

Im another new one to this site, but retired from the P.O. in 93 ( early retirement). Very much a technophobe as regards P.C's. Joined the business in 65 so have seen some changes take place in the firm. Some for the good and some bad. Look fwd to making contact with either working 'Posties' and retired old jokers like myself. Think until I get to grips with this will sit on the side lines. Be grateful if someone can give me the 'e' mail address for the Royal Mail Sports Foundation. Vindi :chuckle

Maisy & Baldrick. Many thanks for your input. Have received forms from 'Sports Foundation' then told they were the old ones and to fill in the new ones which I could download off the intranet, explained now retired from R.M. and unable to log into 'intranet'. Have now received new ones via 'Postman Pat' so fingers crossed. :chuckle

Hey maisie. I always told my mate 'I'm not stopping here'. Finished up doing 30 odd years, but very glad when they EVR'ed me. Think the thing that kept me most sane was the jokers I worked with. Mind you back in those far off days thru the mists of time the bosses knew the job and in the 2 offices I served if you were right they looked after you, but if you were coming the cold prawn they soon put you wise.
Glad to get out in the end tho as too many senior management was entering straight out of the Unies. Keep safe you folks and keep my pension coming. :wave

Understand F.A. Crozier is doing for GMTV what he done for soccer and the Post Office, Sweet F. A. :confused

Royalmailchat is a totally independent site

From the bottom of each page
