FOR SOME WEEKS WE HAVE HAD POLISH CASUAL WORKERS IN LIVERPOOL M/C, THE MAIL CENTRE MANAGER HAS BEEN TRYING TO BEAT US OVER THE HEAD WITH THEM, THREATENING TO TRAIN THEM TO OPERATE THE MACHINES AND SUCH, IF WE GO ON STRIKE. THEY HAVE BEEN CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS DISPUTE, AS THEY ARE ONLY TRYING TO EARN A FEW BOB.
LO AND BEHOLD I WAS ON THE PICKET LINE TONIGHT,AND COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES, THEY GATHERED AROUND TONIGHT, THEIR SPOKESMAN WENT INTO THE MAIL CENTRE, CAME OUT GAVE ME THE THUMBS UP, AND THEY WALKED DOWN THE HILL TO THE PUB. THEY HAD DECIDED NOT TO CROSS OUR PICKET LINES AND WOULD NOT WORK WHILE WE WERE ON STRIKE! BEST WISHES TO THE LIVERPOOL POLES! ONE IN THE EYE FOR THE MAIL CENTRE MANAGER!

Ive got me 8 banners in my car ready for our picket line this morning for 8ish......lucky for us we don't have to be on the line bright and early like you guys......because we have 100% members and we stick together and support the union.....thats why we are all tucked up in bed cos no f**ker will pass our picket line with the gates closed LOL.

THE MAIL CENTRE RETURNED TO WORK THIS MORNING, BUT OUR DELIVERY OFFICES ARE OUT TODAY ON OFFICIAL STRIKE, WHAT HAS HAPPENED NOW IS THE MAIL CENTRE DRIVERS TURNED UP AT THE DELIVERY OFFICES WITH MAIL, REFUSED TO CROSS THEIR PICKET LINES, RETURNED TO THE MAIL CENTRE AND SIX HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED, SO THE MAIL CENTRE IS BACK OUT ON STRIKE AS OF AN HOUR AGO.
THIS WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY I EXPECT, I BELIEVE CHESTER MAIL CENTRE IS OUT FOR THE SAME REASON, CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS?
might be wrong here but i have been on the picket lines today and all the last strikes what happens here in wales is that the drivers pull up outside the do and the managers drive the wagons in and out and do all the unloading does this not happen elsewhere then? it saves the drivers who arnt on strike crossing any picket lines
Chester m/c out from 7 am 020807 All (bar 3) of the morning processing staff, distribution, engineering, romec walked out over the suspension of 3 drivers for not crossing picket lines. m/c expected to shut 24-hour.
