Was off on hols and area rep came to office to do assessment with DOM.DOM gave me the check list form
and i noticed the info on it not correct ie bags weights have never been recorded in the office and 5% samples
have been done once in the last two years yet area rep has them down as green for ok.
Is it worth pulling up the area rep and questioning why he gave the ok for this.
Starting the revision in our office next week and our office which is run on bad practice is currently at 88% effective
performance and has to go to 92% in revision so concerned that the above not being done along with managers doing
opg work, people coming in early not taking enforced breaks etc that the effective performance is false and therefore
trying to achieve 92% is not on.The problem is area delivery rep works in office and is not interested.

Re: H&S office assessment and area H&S rep
Are you a self-starter revision or are you having a planner involved?
There are union trained planners and it might be worth asking for help from one of them.
Your area rep should be able to give you contact details.

Our office IR rep has just been given the boot(im the H&S rep and will prob take the job over),my concerns are the area H&S rep has not highlighted what
is not being done correctly and the area del rep who works in the office will be doing the revision and he comes in early
dosnt do the job properly so not much confidence in either of them and as one of the top 10% then we are gonna be setting performance standards that are false which will not only effect my office but will be used for other offices to catch up with.

If you become the IR rep then YOU have to sign off every stage of the 6 step revision process for your office.
If you ain't happy then don't sign anything off and make them explain to you and your colleagues what they are doing and why.
